Everything i do i suck. Chess is about the only thing i do to make myself feel worth living. Yet today i got beat by some guy from the hood. I really want to get better. Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. I just want to get better so someone please save me and im broke af

Thx ct_art im just like really trying to get better. Ive been playing for like a month now and studying and im only around 1100 rating and 1500 tactical rating. I really wanna get good enough to play in competitions
@protato Chess is a journey it takes a really long time to get good, but honestly 1100 is not bad for a month, just keep playing and learning dont try and rush it and stress yourself out, it takes time you know, but you can play in competitions at any level im pretty sure

@dulg I think it's better for players to spar with players a couple hundred points higher and not too high. It's better for learning and not have information overload or try and learn something you don't understand. Once he gets 1500 then he should learn with 1800 and so on.
