Why am I not in the rankings in the bullet?

#69 Do you really read my posts before answering?
Quote from 63: "... I am NOT asking for changes as I am basically happy with the current implementation as it covers 99,99% correctly."

#70 I am 2100+. I am sometimes playing anonymous bullet sessions. Singer__Marta sometimes played anonymous players.
We met once in such a session and had a "match". OK, not really a match - I lost badly. I can say, that I am not "around that level".

I hit now the resign button in this thread, but not because I think, that my position is lost.
Jesus christ.

As far as I have seen from marta, always plays ppl within that 2100+ as someone said.. and in fact the higher you go, the harder it will be finding people your level.

Anyway, moaning about a great player because one finds it offensive to some sh***e rating system is completely irrelevant.

lichess ratings whatever is completely pointless. Tournaments in real life matter however.
Anyway, stop moaning about great players playing.. by this childish logic the 31 player should get banned constantly, as in general, #1 always plays people with less skill... ad infinitum till 1 or 0 players remain.. if 1, maybe that bell person.

Jees.. get of the crack. Not to mention Marta_singer africana etc. is actually quite a nice chap and sounds to me like some typical anal retentive people stir up storms fr no reason.

Try and live in the normal, logical , relaxed world. Else, move to USA kid.

Next!
#73, what's great about the guy who wishes his opponents to die after loses?
Getting 2800 by playing 1900 rated players should be as difficult as getting 2800 by playing 2500 rated players, otherwise the rating system is broken.
There are games of Singer_Marta and Hiimgosu. 22 games. The result is next: Singer_marta won 6 games, Hiimgosu won 12 games, and there are 4 draws. As you can count, Singer_Marta wins 8/22 games. It is 36,4%.
Taking this elo-formula upload.wikimedia.org/math/b/0/3/b0366725c224ee55eab6e2371dc6a0ef.png
and count.
8/22=1/2.75
log₁₀ 1.75=0.243
0.243*400=97.2

So, the expected elo difference is 97.2 points.
If IM Hiimgosu would play with Singer_Marta he would get 97.2 points more.
As we see, Hiimgosu achieved 2922 or more rating on Lichess.
Singer_Marta achieved 2805 or more.
You can see that rating system doesn't lie actually.
And playing lower rated players is not boosting of one's rating.
Because if Singer_Marta boosts his rating, then Hiimgosu does it either! But isn't it an absurd?! So, dear some people. Think, before writing something offensive. And, by the way, I jut proved that this rating system on Lichess gives accurate results, no matter if you play opponents of your rating, or not.
And some people here were very impolite and rude, saying, that he is coward who plays 1000 points lower players. It's same difficult as to play against the same level. And I only proved it with my calculations.
Just want to point out that Singer_Marta is now on the bullet ratings @ 2805

#61 is exactly correct and unless anyone is arguing against #61 it sounds like we are all in agreement that Glicko-2 works.

Again, for those unfamiliar, here's how it works:
http://www.glicko.net/glicko/glicko2.pdf

Again, I state that using ratings for ranking purposes is ludicrous and is no fault of the ratings system. The only other web sites asinine enough to use ratings to rank players are FIDE and USCF; both of which also have championship cycles for purposes of determining the top-ranked player. Ranking players is a simple-minded idea and requires a simple solution such as ICC's pool or Yahoo's ladder (rather than a complex solution like a ratings system).
I personally don't argue that Glicko-2 works. I absolutely agree with this system.
My point was in
1. that it's rude and impolite to call a player a coward and unsportsmanlike for playing lower rated players,
2. that he is actually 2800 rated player, not just a good 2400 rated, who boosted his rating, as some people mentioned here. Those, who say, that it's possible to gain much more points just by playing lower rated players are not right.
