Will The Net Neutrality Repeal Affect Lichess?

Well, so far, lichess still works. 10 minute mail doesn't.

Haven't tried anything else yet.

Gonna have to switch back to Whonix n Tails OS.
Umm, Congress doesn't have a say in this. The FCC has complete authority to make this change. The court challenges remain (very slim chance of success), but if Congress wished to stop it, they would have to create new legislation or pass a joint resolution. Given the current control by Republicans, there isn't a snowball's chance in Hades that they will do that.

Net neutrality is gone, for now, but don't despair. This isn't the last we've seen of this issue. Legislation is inevitable, but probably not with the current Congress.
@FishStix What I mean is that Pai could have decided whether he wanted to vote to keep NN or not, right? Is it Pai's choice or the President's?
It was a Republican decision that Democrats (Obama) had put into place. This sort of "battle" as been taking place since the time of monopolies created by Rockefeller, Carnegie and Morgan. Just recently it is about AT@T, Comcast and Verizon. It is entirely political, with fear-mongering tactics by both sides. Changing administrations, monopolies being disbanded (only to become more powerful and influential as they control the new companies) has always been the way of big business in America. Regulations are constantly being passed, then repealed if the opposing side wins the next election.

Simply put it is a basic difference between ideologies.

Republicans side with the private sector. Favor big business and stay clear of regulatory measures that restrict their practices. They prefer to leave the law making to individual States. The best new entrepreneurs will survive and flourish, unsuccessful ones fade away.
Democrats favor Government interference by passing regulations that protect every citizen and small business from the major corporations and any potential mistreatment/discrimination etc. They attempt to create "equality" for everyone by creating and passing protective legislation regulating most everything.

Do you favor the Government regulating your life as the average citizen needs protection from big corperations; social services for the disadvantaged (Democrat); or is it none of the Governments business, it's about the survival of the fittest, regulations restrict growth and suppress individual freedoms (Republican)?
LOL
The real lesson is both parties will not hesitate to screw us all.
Politicians of either party have a single interest and it has nothing to do with you or I.
