Tal style, those were the days

In the year 2001, "Sturm und Drang" in the style of Micha Tal:

(classic time control, played in an open otb)
Excellent attacking game by White. While 13.Bxe6 is the cool move, I especially liked 20.Nc5!, because for me that one was the hardest to see.
I contemplated about the 13. and 14. moves one and a half hour altogether. This is too long for a sac based on intuition, you cannot calculate all.

Do or do not, there's no try!
A good example of incorrect but successful sacrifice.
Yeah, compared to Tal's ones this was relatively "correct" though, see ACPL 16, 1/2/0

If you go through Tal's games and combinations with an engine you will be shocked about the "degree of incorrectness".
Tal was proud of that: "there are two kinds of sacrifices: correct and mine." His games in the Bled/Zagreb/Beograd Candidates' tournament and in his first match with Botvinnik was extraordinary.
@tpr
Incorrect?

Try to claim an advantage with black.
It doesn't seem they have anything better than a draw with hypothetical perfect play. The quick engine analysis is a bit wrong here.

Impressive double sacrifice, thanks for posting it!
18...Kg8 seems to hold, retains bishop for 2 pawns should win for black say in a correspondence game, over the board and with the clock ticking it is hard to defend correctly.
Thanks, guys! I just looked in my 16 year old comments and I found there 18. ... Kg8! ;)

What I find remarkable is that nearly all my old masterpieces stand the test of time. This game I had always as somewhat "brave but lucky" in mind. So I am pleased to see that even with fresh computer analysis Black faced a difficult task and it was by no means easy.
