How?

Pretty much the most common question in chess: "How do I get better?" Most people will tell you the same things—do tactics puzzles, analyze your games, and play longer time controls. In chess, improvement is not a steady climb; it is done in bounds and leaps. You may be teaching yourself a lot but not seeing any improvement for a while, and then all at once your rating will soar up and stay there. It is inexplicable but that is how it happens. The most important advice I can give you is to desire to get better, stay motivated, and play, play, play. If you keep at it, you'll get more and more familiar with the game and you'll see those leaps in progress.
@toastjuggler It's very individual on what you need to do. You need to access the flaws in your game and improve them.

If you ever want to go through some lines, training, openings or whatever send me a message.

We can play some unrated games and I will access your style.

I'm not very good, but I should be able help to get you to that level.
