Which Do Ye Prefer . . .

i looked up harry despues and chess........ nothing. the thread was interesting though, but i figured this harry was likely fictional.
Confirmed troll. Sorry I didn't read through his posts closely enough the first time:

"Henry Despues... the most important thing to get better at chess is to ... talk to your pieces and try to understand how they feel in different positions."
Yes, talking to inanimate objects and understanding their feelings is the secret to being good at chess.

"He said that he is a coach because it makes a lot of money and there is a demand for it."
Yeah, chess coaches are right up there with Bill Gates. Bruce Pandolfini is now the 8th richest person in America.
@Savage47, my massive 1300 rating is also proof of my claims. I have a Mensa Card and an IQ higher than 5,999,999/ 6,000,000 people. Meanwhile I learned chess a week ago. Despite being one of the smartest people in the world, I have played little and have a relatively low rating to show for it. Surely my rating will scale linearly with game time like everyone else.

You do know that the world chess champion is a literal neckbeard, sheltered to the point of having an almost intimate relationship with cartoon character donald duck and plays chess all the time, right?
@doublebanzai so instead of assuming an opinion, theory or wisdom that you don't like or agree with is wrong, you go one step further and assume the person who said it doesn't exist? That's gotta be so stagnant man.
@YGNR

Knowing what an IQ is makes people modest.

All people are equal if it's about importance. No two people are equal if it's about personality.
@jupp53 yet chess ability, like any sport, scales with games played, linearly and without significant variance.
@YGNR

You're missing something. It's not the games played. Else the player with the most bullet games would be one of the best players.
