Tournaments with Longer Time Controls?

<Comment deleted by user>
slow controls 5+0 or 4+2 .ideal controls for me 2+0, 1+2, (1/2+1 time control fun I played this time against dandan and it's really interesting) and 1/4+2.
Obviously they don't need to get rid of short time controls, it would just be nice if players who liked a slower game had the opportunity to play in more tournaments. Like the author of the post suggests, a format is 5+(an increment between 1 and 5) , allowing for longer games and preventing time-scrambles.

You know you can checkmate, too.
Yes, we're not trying to stop anyone playing fast time controls, it just feels that these are the only time controls supported on lichess.

I like slower time controls to be able to think about moves and not end up in a flagging contest.

In Crazyhouse we created a league with slower time controls. Many of us play for fun and haven't analysed every line, and after that, it's just to avoid the opening traps after which you get into a game in which you need to think.

I did once try out engine-vs-engine at atomic to see if white would win easily and no, it ended up drawn.
