how people are resistant to change. The only difference is that the board is bigger and other things too are bigger, but the board can be resized.
I guess if this site was the old one, people would ask to back this site because the other are very small ....

It's funny how websites (in general, not specific to chess) fell obliged to change their design !! Just thinking of the new version of gmail for instance.... I was playing on lichess on friday, then on saturday i had to takemy car to go somewhere, so it's only now that i'm opening my computer : when clicking on my lichess icon, i felt i got it all wrong, that somehow the wabsite had been pirated !
so, this message is addressed to the big thinkers of lichess : stop fooling around with web designing and go back to the first version ! lichess is aimed for users: no users, no lichess ! everybody was happy with the prior version, just go back and stop trying "exotic things" : remember : the simpler, the better ! :)) have a good day !

Bring back the classic board to Racing King! Have you ever thought before doing this? Impossible to focus. You can change everything except the chessboard !!!

I swear to god I didn't know they upgraded the version, I thought maybe my browser was infected by a malware or not responding. I didn't even imagine this is an official version and still can't imagine that. I can't use lichess since then, Feels horrible.

I use a Firefox add-on as most websites are too small on my 28" monitors, I found an add-on for Firefox called 'fixed zoom'

For all my regular browsing I use 125%, but for Lichess I set it to just 70%.
Seems to be good for me, although that's just my personal preference.
Have to say I do not like the blue hyperlinks/usernames, much preferred the yellow

My opinion means f-all as I am not a contributor and get Lichess for free
I personally miss all the black space on V1 (PC/Desktop). Everything is too big now...hurts my eyes. If lichess could offer a v1 UI "theme" in preferences, that would be huge!
If you don't like the size, zoom out.
