AWC 2017 It's Final Time!

Hi all,

We're down to the last two players @onubense and @arka50. I expect it's a final that a lot of people wanted to see, especially after last year's semi final. I'm hoping for another exciting match, with it all left out on the board!

The players are still arranging a time. If possible I will stream it live on my twitch account (www.twitch.tv/tipau_lichess) but will confirm when the date & time are known. If I'm unable to do it, I'll try and find another volunteer streamer instead.

Hope everyone's enjoyed the tournament so far and are looking forward to the final match!

Why 17th? I never agreed to that, I was saying 10th of December, never specified a date

@Arka50 there's clearly been a misunderstanding. Sunday 17th was what onubense specifically suggested and when you agreed to play 'Sunday' it's not hard to see why he thought you agreed.

If you can't play Sunday 17th then I'm sure another date can be found. I suggest sending onubense a message and try to arrange another time, rather than discussing it here.

Hi all,

I will be streaming the final on my twitch account www.twitch.tv/tipau_lichess. I will have to leave at 20:00 GMT due to other commitments though. It's unlikely the match will still be going then but not impossible, especially if last year's match between the players is used as an indicator.

If it goes beyond 8pm I'll have to end the stream, which is unfortunate as by that point we'd likely be in tie-breaks and the final excitement wouldn't be covered. It also has another impact - without me present it would also mean that FischyVischy would be acting as the match arbiter, in case of any issues amongst the players.

If there are any other players who are planning to stream the final, or are prepared to take over after 8pm if necessary let me know. I will then point them towards your stream before exiting. Maybe @programfox?

@tipau As I'm having exams this week, I definitely cannot commit to saying in advance that I'll take over if necessary.

However, if nobody else can be found that's certain they could take over: if throughout the match it seems likely that it will go on that long, I could always see if I still can take over.

@tipau I might be able to take over the streaming if you have to go. If I'm on, and I probably will be because I really want to see this match, feel free to shoot me a pm if you need me to stream.
