About sandbagging

Hi!

I have some questions about sandbagging.
I was curious, what is lowest rating which you can get and tried to get it (only in bullet) just for fun (my real rating is ````+-1700).
After that almost all games I played was casual games, so no one was harmed (exept arrogance of some 2000+ players which were lost to 800+ in casual games and have reported).
I didn't made it to get any benefit. I play just for fun and only casual games in Bullet. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I did't create any fake accounts to manipulate with my rating and I didn't participate any Bullet tournaments after my rating was lowered. I just wanted to play poorly and played poourly (btw I never resigned in purpuse, I played till the end), without any engine help. (Be a weak player isn't cheating, is it?)
I play rating games and participating in tournaments only with my real rating (blitz and rapid).
And no matter of that I was reported.

So my questions are:
1. Cheating means that you have any benefits from it (for example in tournament). But if you play just for fun (without engine and fake accounts) and only casual games is it cheating?
2. Are plays in casual game (with low rating) is prohibited too? Or not?

I saw few topics about sandbagging and there was said, that it is cheating when you use engine or create accounts to manipulate with your rating and do it to get benefits in tournament or rating games. I wasn't do any of it.
Althought there was not send any warnings to my e-mail.

Yep, we play chess and have fun. I play without engine, so what's the problem? I play all challanges (I accept all 800-3000 range) and allmost always I accept all remathes , so I sometimes win and sometimes lose. Btw I play casual games, so it don't affects on my opponents rating.
If someone with 2000+ rating wants to crush player with 800+ rating I don't think that it is fun for 800+ to be crushed. But when 800 wins it's funny and if player isn't arrogance he can find that funny too. It's game where you need to win, not to find someone who is weaker than you and crush him.
When I win (in either game) it's not funny for my opponent, but this doesn't mean that I musn't win and always need to lose because my opponent wants to have fun, right?

They're not happy when they win, they're not happy when they lose... Are they happy somewhen?
When I played weakly I don't resingned, so I play till the end, so everyone had fun. There is no difference between really weak player and me playing weakly. So the fun is equal in both cases. Just everyone have is's own fun.
And report was send after I win 2000+. When opponents have been winning me they were not upset :)

To be fair, as a genuinely awful player myself, I would be rather disappointed if I joined one of your casual games and discovered you were, in fact, a player who can actually win a game or two in a standard tournament without rating limits. While it may seem like harmless fun, one's rating does still have a purpose even in casual play, since other users may very well be deciding which games they would like to attempt on the basis of rating.

It's always possible within the rules to act like a jerk.
If you can't recognise the difference between respecting your opponents and trolling them this thread will probably not change anything.

sandbagging will give you a ban

But I will say that I am very happy when I face a sandbagger and he resigns on like move 12 and my rating goes up. So #2 is not always right.

@farmersrice This thread is about casual games, i.e. unrated.

@Convertor Being crushed is for many people as boring as winning against an opponent, who intentionally loses. It's the fight, that makes the fun.

Manipulating your rating to increase it or decrease it is against the rules and can result in your account being banned.
