My rating doesn't make sense anymore.

I don't know if it is bugs, lags, or old hags but I have been rating solidly in the region of 1600+ for the past years and now, all of a sudden, I find myself struggling to beat players with a rating of 1400 or even lower.

If there is a problem with the site, they should just come out and say it and tell us to be patient.
I can understand that, creating and maintaining a site is hard work, and you do it for free, which is awesome and I appreciate that.
But please, don't keep us in the dark.
You know, that everybody can look at your rating graph? You have been between 1400 and 1600 most of the time, and only a few weeks above 1600.
Yes, I know. My point is that it is now harder for some reason to beat lower-rating rivals. It's like now time flows in a different way and sometimes I lose or win with a time difference that doesn't feel alright. I get the impression that it is happening to my rivals too, not just me. The gaming experience is not the same anymore but I am no expert and can't explain it better than this.
Maybe you're playing tired more lately? Perhaps you have stress in your life lately?

Difficult to fix "it sorta feels harder to beat the same rated people" :( Maybe it is your mental state?
It is LiChess magic. Lower tated opponents tend to be much stronger than higher rated opponents, probably something to do with the matchmaking here and how it treats deviation . Anyway, online rating does not matter play and have fun.
Thanks for your comments. It's not that I am obsessed about the rating, I play for fun. And I am going to continue using the website. You might be right about me being more tired, I don't know, I but it's like the time between moves felt clumsier and the clock more unpredictable overnight after the release of V2. If it's just me experiencing this kind of after the new version, then I'll just try and see if I can adjust to the new version. In fact, I noticed it was the new version precisely because I felt weird moving the pieces.
You are all over the place and cannot even seem to stay consistent in what you claim to be complaining about. First, it was about ratings being unreliable or something, then it was about the flow of time, finally it was that the site redesign made moving pieces “clumsier” and the like. I’m not sure how you can expect any useful advice when you do this.
I think ioxod nailed it.. small deviations in your concentration will greatly affect your performance, especially in bullet and blitz. When tired or under stress you will unconciously take more time per move and will be missing simple tactics. Just persevere, it'll get better.
I was not trying to ask for a solution. I was just expressing my ideas and what I experienced, which is a perfectly valid course of action when interacting and being part of a community. Some of you understood and were nice and supportive, thanks for that. Others, well, not so much. Thanks for your comments and support.
