Stockfish Oddity

@MeWantCookieMobile there, you did misread it. The point is that far from showing me the forced mate it had calculated, in the example above it's showing me how to give forced mate to my opponent.
@Marlonc I think you assume too much. I didn't misread anything. I did however not notice at first you're on a CZ game. And I noticed you neglected my question. Since when did stockfish start playing CZ?
Also let's say it can just play it. How do you know it's not analysing chess and not cz? And then my comment still remains. Why oh why worry about anything about mate in # over 5. I mean sure 1-5 is cool and all but beyond that it's unlikely you as a human should even care. Regarless of variant..
@Marlonc
The engine issue that you mention here is one of depth. There is a default depth assigned (number of moves deep) and at the end of that, the engine's "assessment" algorithm kicks in, and it assigns a score. As you increase depth, the assessment score improves and there is an exponential increase in analysis time and accuracy.

@MeWantCookieMobile
The point is that there is a swing from black wins to white wins, after just a single move is played, at which point the engine is making as much sense as a coin toss.
And yes, there are engines for analysis of most variants for a few years now.
