The PGCSP controversy

@drmrboss I looked through his profile, tried a Google search for his name, and looked for mentions of him on the Lichess Discord.

I just found that lichess cancelled many of PGCSP's tournaments, including a 500 dollar prized tournament which he had been promoting for more than two months. Liches has even closed his team.Isn't this being too harsh on a person who just created two forums?

@DeadlyKillerInstinct , why do you say lichess cancel? Most likely, he cancel himself.

Do you think people will get chat ban for just posting two ads? There are likely other reasons.

Btw, this forum will be locked anyway.

You are talking about democracy here? and you are comparing an overrated thing like Democracy with an open source website Lichess?

Lichess provides everything to every user for free and it's promised to be forever, unless like other .com website lichess charge 0 from it's users and they can access to everything without any restriction.

But we also have some rules and they are that on forums we don't let people advertise about tournaments or teams. If it happens then mods will have to delete them and also warn the user not to do again. When the user still continues it after warning we usually ban then but not like they can't play chess anymore or something but we just take their communication privilege and as a site to protect forums from getting spammed by only tourneys we have every right to do that.

Also about the tournaments which the organizer wanted to organize wasn't cancelled by lichess, lichess don't interfere on any user's stuff unless it's a harm to our website and I clearly don't see why a prized tourney with strong players will be closed by us. As of your organizer they sent me loads of messages and asked me that if i don't say sorry to them for what i have no idea but then they will start removing their tournaments and start blaming lichess for it.

So let me just make it clear here, we are not closing any of their tournaments. But also please stop creating such absurd posts on forums. Please note that every lichess moderator are volunteer and they do things for their enthusiasm so that a great site can run well. Please don't give us more work and start unproductive debates and give us more work.

Please it's just a small request, i am closing this forum so that no more unproductive debates will continue.

Please stop this and stop pointing at lichess and its moderators, or else I myself will have to stop this.
