Preventing opponent from castling with my bishop

I saw this "trick" in a book (almost everyone must know it) After I clumsily misplaced my knight on the a file, I ended up having a bishop destroy my opponent's chance of castling. It isn't easy to get half the pieces in this kind of manoeuvre often though
In that position nobody would have castle kingside, with all those advanced pawns (like f6, g5). And your opponent decided to play Kf7 before developing King's Knight. So, I think that your bishop was completely useless. It was on a good diagonal, yes, but nothing more
Except 3. Nxe5 is winning by force and everyone should know that
Or how about 7 Nxe5 (ouch). That bishop doesn't look completely useless to me! :D
You guys really go for blood. I didn't notice the forced checkmate possibilities. Should I go for forced checkmates more? (There's more danger though?)
12 Qe6 is pretty good too. And yes, forced checkmates are forced, so they automatically win you the game. Free wins are always good. You get a tasty king to eat.
Also, it seems like you played this game like it was a blitz game, though you had 30 minutes. No offense, but I really recommend taking more time to find good moves. There were a lot of opportunities for both players, and again, no offense, but a lot of mistakes which brought winning positions to drawing positions and drawing positions to losing positions.
