Nobody can win every game since always there's someone stronger than you so what percentage of wins vs percentage of losses would tell me I am on the right path?
when your elo is stable, you meet equivalent players to your strengh, and therefore the % will become more or less equal..
Unless if you are at the very very top level of course :D
Chess isn't a game where you get a high win %. You should score roughly 50% and if you improve your elo will go up which means harder opposition so back to 50%
even if you don't consider yourself very good, you can easily keep a 90%+ winrate by playing exclusively against people 400 or more points lower. things THEY don't want you to know
MagicAce1988, I looked at your profile... seems that your just starting out: I like to play opponents close to my rating ( within 200 points below or above where I'm currently rated ) I strive for 50 percent win rate. Good luck. P.S. Why don't you play longer time controls? Your not going to be doing much winning in the future if all you play is blitz... my guess is you'll still be a 1200 rated blitz player a year from now and the year after that. SLOW DOWN!
