Cannot challenge due to provisional Chess960 rating ??

Was trying to to challenge a friend to a 960 correspondence game and kept getting denied - with the subject line showing as the reason.

What's up with this? First, as best we know, neither one of us has a provisional 960 rating, so it seems there is an error right there.

Second, why would someone's provisional rating prevent them from receiving a challenge? I see no reasoning behind such a rule.

Is this a bug that needs to be fixed?

Your friend probably has the "Let other players challenge you" setting set to "If rating is +/- 300". Challenges from provisionals are then blocked.

You have no 960 rating at this moment, which equals to a provisional 1500 rating.

Where is the "let other players challenge you" setting found? I can't seem to find it in the Preferences page.

(Aside - I really like Lichess, but learning the software interface is a real PITA.)

Nevermind, I found it. Now checking with friend to see if this is the problem.
