So as by the rating, you can see they are just beginners. So the Beginners akways have a tendancy that they have to move their king to the Central 4 squares in any way. And due to this, opponent catches the Trick and moves tgeir qeen towards the centre to checkmate the Opponent's king.

And @hydrophilic, you had an easy checkmate on move 6, and castling is not always imporatant in KotH.
