Aswer - account closed

Does anyone know why @aswer closed their account? He was the shield holder for the blitz tournament and now he's gone.

Oh really ? If account closed cant it be reopen with previous status.
Some thing like temporally closing Facebook Accounts ?

Not sure. Just seems weird to win a shield then disappear.

sorry, who's vlad? I doubt he was hacked. That seems highly unlikely.

Maybe he was marked and closed his account.

I see. I hope he gets it back then. I still don't understand how anyone could have hacked it though, unless his password was super weak. Very strange.

@NeverBeenTimid e.g. he logged in at a friends house / on a cellphone, or played on a machine with a keylogger (internet cafe), or some machine of his with his password stored was stolen/lost, or someone looked over his shoulder while he typed his password (for something else but it's the same password as on lichess), or someone used his computer while he was away, in an airport or whatever working space.

There are just so many ways it could happen, if you don't know him personally / he's not ordinarily paranoid about logins.

I hope he manages to get it back. Was weird to see him disappear just like that.
