I'm noticing it's far easier to click and drag a piece than click and point. Takes less time to move the same piece to the same location. But there's a problem. I can't see the piece I'm dragging because my thumb hides the piece I'm trying to move. I suggest you allow a magnifying glass feature that lets you see the board easily while you're dragging the piece and you're able to see the piece you're dragging. I've seen apps that let you do this. It allows you to precisely move a piece and let's you precisely move a piece to that destination square without misclicks. All this while letting you see the board and the square you want to place the piece. Please look into this idea.
