What are your challenges/difficulties in getting better at chess?

I lack proficieny in the openings, i find myself almost 80% of the time worse off at the end of the openning. If everything is well it is just a positional drama, else it is probable that i'm down a piece. I can play the opening better however at the cost of immense time consuption at the beginning, then there is not enough time left to think for the critical points in the game (in general online time controls), let alone deep positional plans. Besides, i tend to go online to play chess when i know i'm postponing an important task that needs to be done, or when i'm feeling low. You see i play chess with heavy and motivating music :D, thats why i wanna play chess when i'm feeling low. (to componsate this feeling). Then i tend to be highly tactical in my choices (right or wrong). Oh, wow it has been too much of a confession...
I do not play chess when I am down, because it will make me feel worse because I lose all the time.
I am an amateur chess player who played chess for years without serious training. Averaging 1600 Elo and collecting mindless victories and defeats.
I recently decided to train with target of reaching around 2000 Elo and my first difficulty was to find valuable training material.
Smartphones do help a lot as you can find applications like "Tactic Trainer" or other correspondence chess games.

I also invested in recent/modern books :
- Jeremy Silman "How to reassess your Chess"
- Jeremy Silman "How to reassess your Chess Workbook" (solutions for Problem 1 and 2 made me sink into a deep depression LMAO)
- Karsten Muller "Fundamental Chess Endings"

I hope these will help me to improve my daily games ?!

And you, did you find interesting books about openings ?
(I mean telling about various openings spirit and "must know" indications for a club player)

PS : LICHESS is the only online site that enables you to analyze chess games automatically. That's great ! And you, how do you analyze your games with valuable comments ??
