Playing anonymously

Does anyone play anonymously sometimes to relax (and maybe feel better about themselves)?
If I'm logged in even casual games can be very hard and exhausting. So I play anonymously secretly hoping that my opponents won't be as good as if I played logged in. That way I can play without much effort and kinda cool down from "serious" chess. How do you relax your brain from streak of hard games?
I always play on my account and I virtually always play rated. Sometimes you'll have bad days, and you'll go on losing streaks, and sometimes it'll be exactly the opposite. I think you just have to be honest with yourself and everyone else and let your rating reflect that.

There's nothing wrong with being competitive. Believe me, no one enjoys losing. However, resorting to playing weaker opponents just so you don't lose as much only stunts your improvement and enables you to continue on with that mindset.

Just play on your profile and accept that it will go how it does. You'll see improvement if you try. If you feel the need to relax after a bad series of games, stop playing. Get something to eat, plenty of rest, come back the next day.
I have been playing only anonymous games for the last 5 ,plus years. I just want to play some chess, and no longer have any concerns about a rating. Its just really nice to have an interface where I can play chess...with a human...anytime. For free! I keep an account so I can make forum posts and analyze some my games. You maybe able to benefit from the "zen mode" feature on this site. I suspect that a lot of players play anonymous games ...maybe to warm up ,or to practice so that their opponents won't see their games . I play on ,even if I'm not playing well and these horrid games do not end up in a my game record. :]
@ShAlexander

i play anonymously when i dont want to put in the work for a rated game

also to play oddball openings
or test out different variations in usual openings

also it is useful to warm up before entering a tournament by playing a couple of casual games

Rating is not what you, as a player, is all about. The most important thing is the fun you're deriving from this game.
I play a ton of unrated games; I find it more relaxing and especially convenient when I don't want to focus all the time.
I only play anonymous a few times, and that has always been to play really strange openings and catch my opponent off-guard.
#6 There was a player On ICC , who"s handle was "Mr. Anonymous" I hardly knew him. No one did. I know who I am...been there ...done all that ...#5 said all for me. I am still an avid player after 45 years of play...I just want to play a nice game of chess... :]
