Sandbagging

I have just received a message suggesting I am "sandbagging". I tried to answer lichess but am told it does not accept messages. I am playing Correspondence chess, and games seem to be timing out without ever appearing in my games list. Anyone know why?
Not sure what sandbagging is but games against Stockfish I play, on Android on my phone, frequently resign me when I'm not using the app.

The Devs have said it'd be too tough to hunt down and fix. Fair enough! I'm a developer myself. It's free and awesome.

If you're using your phone perhaps try to open the game on the website as well?...
sandbagging is purposely losing to lower your rating, so you can beat up on lesser players........does it mean something other than that here???
I was timing out on games in Correspondence, but those games never came up on my games list. It seems to be the games I played with a one day limit, as the two day limit games are going through fine. It's irritating because I've lost over 100 rating points. Very odd. It seems to have stopped now. Thank you both for replying.
hmm... I might be totally off but I'd assume sandbagging means taking lots of time on obvious moves (in your case, correspondence games). Personally, I always take a long time on my moves, its just how I feel comfortable playing the game- there's no malice intended.
my otb friends mutter sandbagging under their breath --- i think they resent the idea of entering some big tournament for prize money, and suspecting that, say for an under 1400 or under 1600 class, there are some players rated for those sections, but are in reality 100 or more points higher in strength... and i guess some players merely want to win so bad, that they'll sandbag just to win some small tournament - alas, then their ratings will spike up, but at least they 'won' a tournament, even if it's in a class below their true strength
Yes, but the point is why was I unable to make moves in these games and then accused of sandbagging when they timed out? Anyway, I shan't be playing anymore one day games!
sorry, i was just trying to be clear what exactly the term sandbagging means... which is throwing games, esp games you might be in a winning position in --- or i saw on another site where some guy would sandbag by just resigning in a couple moves - just resign. he did this over and over, lowered his rating by hundreds of points. he might've done this to be able to beat up on lesser players. or, actually he may've done this just to be a jerk. in any case, the uscf has rules against throwing games. it's considered unethical and unsportsmanlike, and there are sanctions against that.

if 'time out' means you're losing by exceeding your time allowance per move, that could LOOK like sandbagging. i guess it depends on how the computer defines it. if it's happening with some frequency, which it sounds like it is, that could look like sandbagging, esp if it happens early in the game, or while you're winning, or if the game is even. that would look suspicious.

try increasing your time to two day games..i'm doing that currently, and generally i'm the slow one, and we get a couple or three moves in a day.
