@Illion I'm trying to solve the puzzle you mentioned in your first comment- it's tough! :) You sure it's 7th move? Here's where I stand on it:
- We can rule out pawn promotions for black since there is nothing to capture on the way. This means any black pawns that are removed must to have been captured by white bishops.
-The b7 pawn is gone so that means white had to capture it with a bishop, so the route for white's light bishop would be Bf1-g2-b7-c8.
-The only opening for black to get into f1 is from g2/h3, and two bishops can't use the same entry/exit route, so the route for black's bishop is Bc8-h3-f1.
-So far, with the bishop routes and all visible pawn moves g4, b3, d6 and g5 combined, white has used 5 moves and black has used 4. This means both sides can only take 2 more moves each before white plays his 7th move.
- The only 2 move route for white's bishop is Bc1-a3-f8.
- Black's dark square bishop can't interpose with white's route, and there's no other 2 move route for black :( The closest black has is a 3 move route Bf8-g7-b2-c1. If the puzzle were to be solved on black's 7th move, we could fit all our previous moves together and solve it...If not for the fact that in the solved position, black's e-pawn is gone which completely turns it around :(
It's a very well-crafted puzzle, much better than mine- I'll try working at yours for a little longer :)
Maybe it has something to do with my misunderstanding that "two bishops can't use the same entry/exit route"...
