What to do if black captures Ne5?

I havn't really seen/read what whites plan is, if black captures Ne5? Let's take this standard position for example: lichess.org/editor/r1bqr1k1/pp3ppp/2nbpn2/2ppN3/3P4/2PBP1B1/PP1N1PPP/R2QK2R_w_KQkq_-

After ... Nxe5 dxe5 Nd7 Nf3, what can white do? Black has the better pawn structure, developed 2 minor pieces, castled, while white has 3 minor pieces developed with lower central control and not having castled. Stockfish still favors white a little (+0,4) but I just can't really seem why. The e5 pawn is hard to guard and will probably eventually fall. What do white do?
If I've understood it correctly, it is to help during a kingside attack. What has helped me understand openings better is to study, and annotate for myself, master games. If you find the right games, you can see how having a pawn on e5 can help in a kingside attack
I agree, also play f4, then if he tries to go f6 u can try Bh4 or something an Qh5 and hes dead
You mean Bxe5? After Nxe5 dxe5 black loses a piece.

Then white plays Nf3 guarding the e5 pawn, and if black plays Qc7 then I think there's some combination with Bxh7+

The Bc8 is still undeveloped and doesn't really have may prospects anyways

There might be some Bxh7/Ng5/Qh5 tricks here in general - since black played Re8 (instead of b6) the f7 pawn is not guarded as well
