SQUEEEEZE

Impressive white play. I guess the black idea of 5...Bd6, 6...Nbd7, 7...O-O, 8...Re8 aiming for 9...e5 as in a reverse Colle is ill adviced as white comes first with 8 Nd2! and 9 e4!.
The move 10...Be7 sort of admits that 5...Bd6 has failed.
Here is an exemple of good black defence: ...Be7 right away and preparing ...c5.
If naka played 12. exd instead of dxc he would have maintained a pawn advantage so there is fundamentally something wrong with blacks setup. such a powerful opening
I did see Nfd2 in Bologan book about Catalan when black play Bd6 (I dont know if it work with Be7 too). In bologan book he call that setup 'triangle system'.

PS: it dont work because Bd6 block d-file and black queen dont touch in d4-pawn, but with Be7 that dont happening. (opening are really very very logical, I like study openings!)
with Be7 it is faster to get to f6 and pressure d4. Nfd2 is playable but doesn't offer the iron grip i had in this game.

not surprised he gives it a triangle system name. once that structure is setup blacks strategy diversity drops off
