My favorite is semi-open games. Where one side of the board is closed and the other is open.

My favourite position, would be by the beach, have myself a foot massage by Scarlett Johansson, while Mr. Nakamura is serving me a Piña Colada and Magnus Carlson is in a -8 pawns, down 2 rooks disadvantage.

I enjoy double-edged positions very much, because myself and my opponent can both put up a great fight until we are on our last breath. At my chess club I got into such a position with my friend in Queen vs Queen endgame but I blundered by walking right into his pawns and getting checkmated. I was shocked but we were both laughing afterwards. Good memories
