Congrats to Buzz Aldrin and his wife Anca Faur on their Nuptules and on his 93rd Birthday!

Today Buzz Aldrin, one of the first humans to set foot on the moon (19 minutes after Neil Armstrong) married his longtime love Anca Faur. The gentleman is 93 and still active in many causes. May he live many more revolutions around the sun!

Remember the time Aldrin punched the reporter who claimed the moon landing was a hoax? I thought that was pretty cool!
It was a conspiracy theorist (Bart Sibrel) who got what he deserved,no charges were ever filed.

Celebrating the 93rd birthday and wedding at the same time is probably unique in the world.

It's really fascinating what the Americans achieved in 1969! But of the three Apollo 11 astronauts, isn't Michael Collins the real hero to admire? Unfortunately, people always forget to mention his name when discussing Armstrong and Aldrin as the first people to walk on the moon.

Of course, the tasks and roles of this mission were clear long beforehand and everything was planned and thought out down to the smallest detail. Michael Collins put himself at the service of the cause to make this mission a success. He accepted that he would not leave his footprints in the moondust like Armstrong and Aldrin. His job was to orbit the Apollo spacecraft in multiple loops around the moon and pick up the other two as soon as they completed their expedition on the moon.

The real feat is bringing humans to the surface of the moon and returning them safely to Earth . This would not have been possible without Michael Collins. Besides these three there was an army of unsung heroes back on Earth who made it happen. Those who walked on the moon represented all of us. It showed what we were capable of when we work together.

Really, when no one even expected to step outside our world, these gentlemen did it. We're proud.
(Though it was partly because of the race with the Soviets?)

What an embarrassment....

Personally i don't like Buzz, and think he should be arrested for lying about the moon landing...

But even still I can't help feel pity for his generation...

They lived under the best most prosperous time and history and so they never matured, they get divorces and go on dates and remarry... Like teenagers...
