Multiple Accounts?

Am I allowed to have 2 accounts? I know it says I can't but I see that some streamers/titled players have 2nd blindfold accounts. I also want to try some blindfold chess, but don't want to mess up my rating. If some lichess staff could give me permission for a blindfold account that would be helpful. :)

One per customer is best so that if you do something wrong they can hold you accountable. ;)

Unless I'm very much mistaken the commenters above are incorrect. Multiaccounting is *discouraged* in many cases, but allowed certainly. A lot of people have blindfold accounts, arena accounts, etc. Just don't abuse it, don't use it to troll or upvote your own comments or sandbag or anything like that.

Any mods please correct me if I'm wrong.

Your account is your identity, it is your person. Unless you want to have do overs and also be someone else, then you only need 1 account. It's basically a question of "AM I comfortable in my own skin?" or "Am I insecure?" U choose

Not quite, TheThirdMouse. I have a separate account for blindfold chess, for instance, because my rating when playing blindfold is so drastically different from my normal rating.

Now that there is no real chess available I would like to have two accounts - one anonymous (so I can experiment with new openings etc) and one less so, so that I can play in various events hosted by Lichess such as the UK's online 4NCL.

With regard to MrScribbles post, although it just says that multiple accounts are discouraged they are now effectively prohibited by the terms you must agree to in order to open an account. I guess that those who already have them can keep them.

Second account is fine. None of the mods will care unless you do something suspicious on it, like cheating.

is this a tournament for who has more accounts? sign me in hahaha i have 9 accounts... 5 accounts are too old... the other 2 is gone because i forgot my pass and my email.. i have this because i just want to commemorate my section hehehhe but all those accounts are the same rating. But you know what i learned? Rating is just a number... this is still an online chess game that doesnt increasing your FIDE or NCFP... sooo I am okay with everything hahahhaa

p.s. there was a time where i have two accounts and i think of an idea... what if i pressed the the same time in my other account too? then i was like... wow... i am playing myself.. so i thought.... what should i do? i will get banned... so i played it just for fun but i will draw this so that it has no high gain or high lose.. I already gave a forum about that problem as well..

p.p.s if i done anything wrong mods then feel free to search that account and get it banned :) no worries also if you are suspecting me as a cheater then feel free to ban my account too..

just i said.. rating is just a number.. i played online for fun and to kill players.. i mean in their minds lol also if they mods ban me then i will create another... you can ban me to have not too much accounts but you cant ban me for not playing chess... (well there is a guy who got ban in real life at real tournament for GM and banned for life.. check it out)

so if this doesnt say that multi account is bad.. it really is bad.. for a bad person.. i am just a typical guy who are very lively at chess and those who owns a cheat account.. i can tell you that you are scamming yourself lmao
