Why are that many accounts closed without any further comment?

I sometimes smash a player, and after the game I go look at his profile and he closed it. Happened a few times too, maybe the same guy.
I know it's hard to lose but closing your account after a bad loss is just crazy.
I have the feeling that there are a number of players here who change their accounts more often than their underwear. Maybe this is favored by the high rating deviation at the start - a few lucky wins in a row make you feel like a giant.
Just my thoughts, it does not necessarily have to be a bad thing.
Could have been a banned user with a new account - they detected this, and the account got closed. I mean, I know of a crazyhouse player who did this and posted a "This account is closed" screenshot of the new account earlier today.
2Q1C has created over 1000+ accounts at chess.com. over the years.
Mods are frantically deleting new ones daily. He has 100's of "sleeper" accounts from 2009 to present. A mod announced today reasons for his permanent ban, but it seems they are helpless to prevent his continuing abuse (in the form of new threads), except to delete the accounts. I bring this up to point out the "issue" is common throughout gaming sites. Some sites it is a priority to develop methods in preventing such behavior, others it is not.

I would think this topic belongs in "Off Topic" as it's not chess related.
Lichess does a far superior job of it than chess.com. in detection and taking action. I expect the topic to be closed soon, as it leads to much useless speculation.
This magnificent story is just radiant.

In the world Crazyhouse there are historically many strange, vain, gloomy and toxic players. They open and close their accounts as they evolve. Sometimes they slow down, sometimes they turn into some kind of personality. It started yet FICS and sometimes you can find the history of manipulation of that time.
Yes, it is a bizarre world. What, with the daily new personalities being dreamed up by the same individual mounting into the thousands , it makes for a Phd in clinical psychology.

Anyone remember the gaming site Flipside? It's service provided games of all sorts, cards, board, you name it. Was very popular. Along the same time as FICS started up.
The chess room was hilarious. "unicheck" sat on the throne. The interface allowed for illegal moves, did not recognize certain checkmates nor other rules of chess. Players could log in a dozen times with different names at the same time. 50% of the usernames used the 1st Fritz program.
By Zeus, now that was chaos.
@mdinnerspace

Cmon now. Yes; some closed accounts are closed for legit reasons. I cant think of a legit reason atm but I know it happens.

That being said; there is absolutely no doubt that the majority of closed accounts were marked engine user and then closed.

I can point at the leaderboards for an example.

@Aswer and the leon guy are both marked 'closed account'
a day or two ago they were both marked engine user.

I'm not sure if its lichess closing the accts or the user; but this shouldnt happen imho. Shouldnt be able to close an account for ...really any reason.
Kinda feels like hiding transgressions.

Side NOte ****

Its quite hilarious that @Cafemorphy is now a closed account. Odd choice of words; sounds like something stf would say.
