Yes, I had assumed that. I wasn't criticizing you, I see why it sounds that way though. I just thought it was a good example of what I had said in the post before that and was relating your game to that. It wasn't a perfect example of the strategy because you made it easy for the computer, but still was what I was describing. That was what I meant.
@Chuck_Fess look at my puzzle

You did not read what I wrote.
You can only mate with two knights if your opponent purposely wants to get mated.
No you can force checkmate with 2 knights against a pawn, but sometimes the win takes more than 50 moves.
One knight must block the pawn. The other knight and the king must force the king to the corner. Then when it is near stalemate, the other knight must unblock the pawn to deliver checkmate while the pawn runs.

Actually, it is pretty hard to force the other king to go to the corner with only one knight and your king. I studied this before but now I don't remember anything as to how to do it.
@tpr Yes, it might take more than 50 moves, but if you let a pawn move, then you have 50 more moves, according to a rule.
Also depends very much on where the lonesome pawn is. For about half the board, it is not possible, as the pawn may queen when the second knight sets it free to run. So the king must be trapped in the right place. The old soviet books will tell you exactly what squares the pawn can be on for checkmate to be forced.
Mate in 7 :
As @sparowe14 mentions, it is impossible if the pawn is beyond a certain spot. This spot is called the Troitsky Line, and any pawn past it cannot be stopped from promoting.
