The Android app is broken. The GUI locks up, i.e. becomes unresponsive. This happens nearly every time I try to use it. Another serious bug is that often my clock continues to run while my opponent is on the move! WTF!? Obviously the GUI needs work. At present it is vastly inferior to other Android chess like chess.com and FICS. Sorry to be a messenger of bad news.
Seems like you're pretty convinced that you are correct. I guess the experiences of thousands of other users have been rendered obsolete.

That was my first thought, too, when I read his post.
Duh. Good software design & implementation when networking issues affect the GUI. Is there a reason why an alert can't be displayed as soon as network issues are detected? Please leave the answer for someone who works with software because you two obviously don't have a clue.
