Rating Inflation

I came back to the platform after a couple of months and it seems like ratings are inflated a little. 1700 in 10 minutes is corresponding to 65 percentile but I was remembering that it was at least 70 percent just a couple of months before. Interesting.. Maybe I am wrong though, please correct me if I'm wrong.

@DrZwischenzug I was talking about rating points and corresponding percentiles, independent of my own grade.
Compared to a few months ago the rating distribution hasn't moved much. Rating inflation would take a few years to really be noticeable, or some some significant source of outside systematic error. A significant rise in cheating would be a good example of this. Perhaps your skills have just increased more than you realize?
@djungelskog seems unlikely since I was not playing at all during that period but let's hope so!!! :)
Breaks form chess can sometimes positively influence your skill to a degree, especially only a few weeks break. Your mind takes time to process knowledge and incorporate it into your useable skills. It’s why you study for tomorrow, not today. Your brain needs time to make connections between information/patterns. Enjoy your rating rise!

@jg777 Thinking about it, I was commenting a lot about the quality of moves in my head, which I was never doing before. Thanks!
@djungelskog increased level of cheating would cause rating deflation not inflation if anything. Inflation in by and large due people less 1500 entering the pool. And last spring that happended.so two culprits for it covid-19 and Netflix Queen's Gambit.
The rating system had some silent changes. I have no links. Only the statistical reason are of interest for me and they were logical. You have to search to find the details.

Some ratings have been adjusted up, some down iirc.
