#28 You mean this
lichess.org/analysis#20Just play in the analysis board and copy/paste the URL.
Regardless whether white plays 9 a3 or 9 Be3, 9...o-o is the more solid choice.
@cap78red #28 import the game and link to it.
lichess.org/pastefurther, even with a3 instead of Be3 it will not work well. On Qd7 white plays b4 instead of Be3 and his attack is very fast. Example:
@no_bullet_thanks I think you are being a bit fanciful there the computer does not think their is a meaningful edge for white
@cap78red Black is close to losing after 14.a4. This is very comfortable to play for white. For example this is asmFishs main line:
White will soon win c3 after which he is up a pawn.
maybe this analysis is too high brow for a patzer such as myself, all I know is I have been hammered a few times by queenside castling in the reversed Sicilian dragon.
Ok. I guess you now have some new ideas, d3-d4 and a quick b4-b5.
looking at one of the games I played which I lost I did spot d3-d4 over the board and got a good attack but as is common in us humans I blundered the endgame and lost. I don't know dragon theory though I aim to learn it soon.
yes that type of endgame from diagram #23 must be known a bit, it is about activating the king and controlling the d-file but it also has some other aspects, in the middlegame it is sometimes a minority attack on queenside/center but sometimes white also attacks with his majority on king side. But d-file and King activity are the main aspects.
