Are you a fan of Elon Musk?

I am for one reason: Too many people are focused on geopolitical/climate-change/societal issues and not enough people are focused on space exploration.

We're all going to die one day, and there is no sequel, so you might as well aim for the stars.
You're right. We are all going to die some day so lets focus on exploring a lifeless void and inhospitable desolate space rocks while destroying the only planet in the universe we know of that can support life. Surely these billionaires know what's best for humanity and arn't just having a dick measuring contest launching phallic shaped rockets in an attempt to outdo one another.

I see what you're saying, but to me, the idea of making this singular planet better is a stretch of the imagination. Even the green industry is majorly for-profit. How are we ever going to rid of the corruption within the green, military industrial complex, big pharma, big tech industries? Marx was wrong: bringing the proletariat and the bourgeois together was a mistake. Now we are stuck with a giant middle class, ruled by the elites.

But my point is, at least one elite has something worthwhile in mind, whereas someone like Bill Gates is buying up all the farm land in the US (for what?)

Really funny, thanks for the entertainment! If Lichess was not ad free I would have wrote this thread is a click bait. ;-)

Something tells me you’ve never read anything by Marx.

You're comment seems like one based on: Supply & Demand, and for that reason, I love it!

It's also a good metaphor for living too. Which is worth more, the same redundant thing everyone is rehashing, in general, or bringing something new and fascinating to the table, given any ability for creativity? Even though, taking the path lead by the bandwagons of politics does have merit and great importance, living in the real world here, trying to attain better pragmatic results voting for intelligent policies and trusted people to carry them out, imo - there comes a point where its Free Market value would have been better spent on things that just simply have a better opportunity cost to them, so long as you have the talent to do that.

I also think his contributions made are truly genious! It's No wonder - he's the world's richest man!
