When I see grandmasters playing, I often see them sacrifice material in the opening with white pieces for the initiative. It always amazes me how they do not recapture the pawns but play an active moves instead. I got inspired in this game by the game Wey Yi vs Aronian from the World Cup where Wey Yi sacrificed the pawn in the opening and then trying to take it back for the whole game. My idea after 0-0 was a4! and speed up the development.
Do u do automatic pawn recaptures in your game or think creatively? This is actually my first game where I did such thing after 13 years of playing.
