Thanks to all, @doublebanzai, @simplicial, @Puredication, and @ridethelightning! Now I know that lichess.org is much better.
lichess is better
Just want to chime in and say that I started with both Chess apps. Chess.com just rubbed me the wrong way with it's constant "Oh you want to learn chess? Pay us now or you have to wait 24 hours for your next lesson / tactics puzzle". Where as Lichess gives literally all the same features for free WITHOUT ads or premium fees. The is a few things not on Lichess are so minor that it's not noticeable.
Heck, I need to start donating to Lichess. It's almost criminal just how much this website gives.
