Insults in the chat.

Hello.
People constantly insult each other in a chat and use obscene language. I used to write complaints about them, but:
1. It's a very long time.
2. Complaints sometimes go unheeded.
3. Even if the hooligan is punished, it's only 10 minutes of silence, and then they continue to do it again every day.

I want to be able to block a person so as not only to not play with him, but also not to hear what he says. That all his messages are not displayed for me.

Can this be done? It's complicated?
As it is necessary to deal with such people.
"If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."

If positive thinking doesn't work, use the report system.
10 minutes of silence is only one of many methods.

We also warn people or mute them completely if things are repeated or nasty.
I actually enjoy chess trash talk & actually try to provoke it on occasion:

ColostomyBagHello. You may know me as the Justin Bieber of chess.

your moves are weak.

Yesterday I sent two complaints about the behavior of two people in the chat of the tournament. (lichess.org/tournament/6aKFF2ED)
And no action.

Therefore, it would be good to be able to block users and not see what they are writing and do not waste time on meaningless reports to moderators.
Sorry, maybe I read over something but why is that a problem? Just block your opponent after the game. This way you'll never meet him again. You can also deactivate the chat so you won't see a thing during the game.
jorforesta,

There are chats of tournaments. They write and normal players, too. They sometimes write a lot of interesting things. Therefore, to disconnect the chat of the tournament simply because there was one hooligan in it, this is a bad idea. I want to read what people write, but I do not want to read his insults and obscene vocabulary. Unfortunately, moderators almost always ignore this problem and it would be nice to block what people say themselves. Do not see what they write, if I blocked the yoke.

Thank you.
Actually i rarely ever got harrassed on lichess and the moderators seem very active and quick. go to chess.com and get insulted literally every game if you play against people from certain countries :/
Dead_Can_Dance,
Nothing like this. The moderators themselves do not work at all, and when you send a request for moderation, most such requests are ignored. And even if the moderators make decisions, it's just a chat ban for 10 minutes, and then these people continue to say the same thing they said before. Insult people and foul language.

I just want to be able to block several bad people myself and not see what they write, what's wrong with that?
