Is there a way to turn off the notifications that show who you follow..follows?

Not sure why this is a thing. Seems like that it shouldnt be any of my business who my followers are following; or who I follow follows.

Talkin about the stuff on the left side that shows 'namehere' started following 'namehere'

Can I turn this off some way?
