Welcome Lichess Boards

Yes Thank you! - Board API is what i was missing :) - i also think that i can improve calculation only in rapid /classical games... not in blitz - blitz can only make me learn some of the openings prior to playing them :)

It is also a perfect message for @bichopebitou as he already has that kind of board :)
@Toadofsky oh thank you - i couldnt find it but recalled that Andrew Tang uses such a strange voice (concatenating his moves as he is playing ultrabullets :))

Do you know how Eric Rosen managed to get the "keyboard input" he had in some blinded video. At that moment i already thought that there is a board-like api in lichess - only the last *gium forum bringed me to that time reality.
@Mattrob77
It only means that now somebody can easily create an app that plays rapid and classical games - and that he can also interface any e- or digital chessboard to it.

if you are reffering to the Mikhka post i know what it means, and its not polite - google can translate it:

translate.google.com/#view=home&op=translate&sl=auto&tl=pl&text=%D0%B2%D1%8B%20%D0%B2%D1%81%D0%B5%20%D0%B3%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%BD%D0%BE%20%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in greek/cyryllic the x letter stays for h phonem

[ nice story to remember what X mean: in algebra and maths we use X for the unknown variable, but it was called 'hee' in original Arab studies - europeans broght the Arab knowledge and choosed greek X for that as it sounded the same way as the Arab Wisdom variable... later it became 'ex' as less and less people spoke Greek :) ]
I appreciate this new API very much. E-boards so far aren't really suited for blitz yet anyway. I'd get flagged using my Square Off board playing 3+2 most likely. If we had fast movement as depicted in the Regium videos (oh if only), maybe they would be. Hopefully, one day both that speed of movement and cheat detection that gives better confidence values without the need for client-side data can be achieved. I was also thinking of an idea that sort of works around this, which would be a board that tracks/relays hand movements which could be a metric similar to mouse movement. Obviously, this would require a new model to be trained, but over time, I feel it could be viable. I'm going to get in touch with the team at Square Off to see if they intend to make an integration or if I may release more in-depth how to push modified firmware to the board, and if I may release the source code for the app I wrote that relays moves to Fritz, the UCI extension that allows the board to support most engines (useful for self-play/bot accounts), and the Polyglot book adapter (also useful for bots, self-play and coaching and that format was chosen because it can be easily read and decompiled to raw PGN without too much fuss). It might spark some ideas for Lichess integration. I was told by Kritika at Infivention that they were deciding how much they were looking to do themselves and how much they wanted to open up the SDK for other developers to do such work, but everything per their licensing needs to be approved by them before distribution, and I'm not sure they're keen on open source (especially GPL), so I wouldn't want to release binaries that went against the core principles of Lichess or release code that may cause trouble with Square Off. Either way, stay tuned.
This is simple awesome Thibault !! Milles mercis !!

This will allow hundreds of integrations :

* RaspberryPI + Waveshare epaper displays : from simple input/output of moves in UCI format to a complete board display UI.
* Cheap digital boards on the market : I've always considered abusing paying over 300 euros for playing (decent) chess on digital boards.

It is now time that somebody markets a good lichess integration e-board which can be done with hardware under 30 euros. Personally I don't need magically moving pieces, just one e-board like those of 80's that instead of playing against a computer would allow me to play on lichess.

And maybe I am crazy, but I would love to see a Alexa Skill that allows playing chess with the voice on lichess (LOL !)
can I change the color of the highlight of the previous move? It looks ugly with the blue one on the green board
@ChessSpectral i cant see the option - i have green "tips" of the previous move - it must be predefined for each kind of chessboard theme - choose nother board color :)
