Am I bad at chess ?

@Stellungsbeurteilung "Because we underestimate them and often play less accurate against them."

sorry I don't know how to speak English and I try to translate as best I can
I was talking about the word "meet" and not "fall", which can be interpreted as losing to a weaker player.

"Because you get more points for winning against stronger opponents and lose less points for losing against them. So if I play 3 games against a GM and I win 1 game and lose 2, my rating will stay stable as a result."

I think that the parameter 0 to 100 has an impact, you are right the fact of playing a stronger player can stabilize the elo while I lose more, but on another side like I said it, I also come across opponents with the same elo as me
The average opponents you play in rapid games is : 2110.3 and your rating shows a rating of 2124.23. @Ludo2001 which is considered better than 96.6% of Rapid players. But the rating cannot get truly ranked because of the high rating deviation. Your progression over the last 12 games is +1 with a rating deviation of 92.22 and that deviation is not good. If your rating deviation keeps increasing beyond 110, your rating will then be considered provisional. You might as well consider your present rating unstable until your rating stabilizes well below the deviation mark of 75. If it was stable than your average opponents should be winning 49% of the time and you 51% of the time, but it's not happening. If I use the FIDE rating 1742 +200 for conversion vs Lichess opponent rated 2110 than the rating difference would be 168. So your average opponents should be winning 72% of the games and you 28% of the them. It does not take much to offset the winning balance of 50%. Especially if the ratings are not truly similar.

My profile shows a much lower rating deviation than yours. My Rapid Rating: 1683.88. I'm assumed better than 70.4% of Rapid players. My Progression over the last 12 games: +2. My rating deviation: 45.46 and I don't have your rating, but at least I'm getting ranked among my peers, which I think is a good thing.

RAPID Games: 5,741
Rated 1683 (+2)
Ranked: 92,448

An unstable rating is not good enough, until you can get properly ranked among your peers. Than you can assume your profile is accurate when it says you are better than 96.6% of Rapid players.

@Toscani true, but in this discussion I talk uniquely about my blitz games, I haven't played rapid games for a long time or very rarely

I already clarified at one point in the forum that it was blitz I was talking about but not at the start of the forum because if people look at my profile the majority of games are blitz, I am currently playing blitz

I didn't give this detail because I thought people would look at my profile in a little more detail.

Afterwards you are right, you have the right to talk about my fast games, but that does not answer the question I asked

and I'm not criticizing the fact that you're talking about that, I agree with you, I'm talking about other people who could give answers with my quick games as an example when it's blitz I'm talking about
@Ludo2001 I see no players playing you that are under the rating of 2000 . So you are playing "up' a lot . Probably to get better you can Study Chess & by looking at your games . Endgame Strategy by Mikhail sherevesky & Positional Descision Making in Chess by Boris Gelfand should be the two books to help you . The parameters of the people you play can be reset a bit if you like say from 1900-2200 or left as is but working on your games is important as well that are completed
Thank you for the advice, I always play without analyzing and studying and it is essential to analyze and study the game to be able to progress.

> No you're rating very good ( edit: compared to mine;) )but you're playing to much blitz , slow down, back to basics and play classical .............time to actually think ,rather than going through the motions of playing ,is my ten pence worth , happy chessing xxx

I defeated SOJB with ease when we played again as i had one off game and then he ran away and it seems you're too scared too

Low rated players always scared of proper opponents, have it your way. I have 1900 and 2000's to butcher in chess anyways

Why would you play against such low rated opponents like 1900s?
