Take Backs

Should I just always decline a requested take back? I like the idea of letting someone undo a miss click, but every time I let someone do it, they just laugh when I request one for the same thing. Is the community so full of jerks that take backs are useless, or do I just have terrible luck the few times we've both needed a take back?
You can use move-confirm to avoid mouse slips, and if you don't use them to save time, it makes sense to have to pay for that in games lost by mouse-slips. Not using move-confirm and wanting take-backs is wanting to have your cake and eat it too, I sometimes feel like this site would be better if, by the default settings, take-backs were disabled and move-confirm was enabled, that would reduce all the game-theory and prisoner's dilemmas associated with mouse-slips and take-backs.
See, if you find it as a genuine mouse-slip, you may accept the take back. But some will act. In one game, my opponent made a queen move two square forward. I took his queen which was protected by his pawn with my queen. But if he recapture with pawn, he will loss an exchange (his rook for my bishop). He requested for a take back and said mouse slip. I asked him which move you intended. He said queen one square backward. Now the question arises, when you try to move your queen one square backward, then it may slip 2 square backward or 1 square diagonal backward. But how will it slip 2 square forward when you tried to move backward. He is lying. And so you don't need to allow unless its a mouse-slip. But you should be careful enough not to mouse-slip by yourself. If you did just resign. Nothing wrong in it.
What is a takeback? I have played 200+ FIDE tournaments and was never asked. Must be a noob‘s quirk.
Takebacks should be banned in rated games.
Otherwise some people will spam them.
My philosophy about takebacks in rated games: Accept only if you can win anyway! XD
preferences->game behaviour->takebacks = never, problem solved
Theoretical work using a partial unification of general relativity with quantum physics has shown that any wormhole that allows time travel would collapse as soon as it formed. So you just can't travel back in time.
Just saying.
Just disable takebacks in rated games in preferences, then you don't have to deal with it
somewhere in preferences you can cut off take backs. My thinking is in a OTB game you should not do it same for internet
