Whether in the future the opportunity to create not only the Arena tournament, but the traditional - Round or Swiss system?. I would like to have the ability to create tournaments more formal nature and not just the entertainment arena. Thank you.
Round robin- maybe OK but swiss is TOO SLOW AND TOO MUCH WAITING TIME.
I asked to add the possibility of creating a tournament with various systems - arena, Circular, Swiss. What would the coaches have the opportunity to perform more formal to hold the tournament at the site of Lichess. The arena serves as an entertainment and quick system - which does not take into account the real strength of the player, and gain points just due to the large number of parties, and Berserker.
If there were the possibility of creating and SWiss Round tournaments, I think it would add Lichess more popular.
No, it wouldn't . Swiss tournaments are too slow. For example; if you win a game in 5 moves, you have to wait about 10 minutes for the next game. Swiss can only played OTB.
Yes, the tournament is slow, but possible it needs to be. You like arena, and who is preferable to Swiss and round. You don't need to speak for everyone. Many arena causes discomfort. Arena has won many fans. I'm not against the Arena. Bad that there is no choice!! Most coaches use a false platform for training. And no tournament

How long spare time do you have in a day ? At least 1.5 hour to organise a proper swiss tourney. Arena is good for online, swiss is good for OTB.
it would be a good idea to add other kinds of tournaments, if you don't like a specific type then don't play in that tournament.

You can organize your own swiss-style tournament. I believe the lichess4545 league is exactly doing this.
Long style tournaments imply having everyone to reserve their spot and commit to playing each round. This is simply not feasible with just the feature because it will lead to commitment problems since we can't force players to show up. If anyone bails out, the entire tournament is trashed.
Also, it would make it very hard to integrate late joiners.
All these concerns compound and make it not very appealing to add back swiss tournaments. They were here in the past, arenas proved superior for good reason.
