Is it rude using a baseball cap?

Hello guys, I have a tournament this month 90+30 and I want to use a baseball cap while playing to not see my oponent and just concentrate on the chess board. Is it rude using the baseball cap?
my grandmother says yes, it is rude to wear a hat indoors. She would have a heart attack if she saw you and is probably rolling over in hear grave over the very thought.

but honestly, who gives a... wear the cap.
Like George Carlin said...I don't want to belong to a organization where I have to wear a hat...or to one where I can't wear a hat. My mom would not allow anyone to wear a hat at the dinner table. ...Wear the hat Oscar... Its cool :]
I wore a hat in my last 2 OTB tournaments. No one said anything. It is not rude. I also used a bottle of ice to cool myself ( it was 40 Celsius in the first one ).
I am wearing one pretty often (also when playing chess) and never heard anything. And I play very often.

Pro-hint: If you're photographed for the magazines it's better to wear it not on these days. That's the way I handle this issue.
Oscar if you're very attractive it might be an idea to play without a cap and dazzle your opponent with your sparkling eyes.
I have lived in several countries and I noticed that what is acceptable or not may be very different in each country.
Use a cap, but the one that have the two cans on the side and the straw so you can drink from them.
Then, when your opponent is thinking in middlegame, start drinking loudly.
If someone stand up just say it's your medicine; in the olympics games all the athlets do this with doping
The rules do not permit:

Beach-wear slips, profanity and nude or semi-nude pictures printed on shirts, torn pants or jeans. holes, denim shorts,
short-shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts, unclean clothing, sun glasses, sports caps.
