Getting a username from inactive account

Hi there! I couldn't find anything through searching -- but is it possible at all to request an account name that is already in use?

I searched up this particular username that I'd like on lichess, and it's quite clear that the account is inactive. Is there anyway I can request to get the account name?

I have no idea, but am curious which name you wanted though.

you may not change your username because there is no such option for lichess.
