Lichess v2 is coming

This website is just perfect! Focus is playing chess in a super fast setting. I'm glad that the head developer is aware of it and takes even further advantage of it, making it even lighter and faster and without chaning it and.... still FREE forever. I really might be paying something in the future!
Judging by the screenshots, it's going to be an improvement indeed. Can't wait! :)
For much years lichess has an excellent multicompatibility with almost all browsers, very good performance and fast, and now you're just eliminating it?, I really don't like that. Very bad.
Thanks a lot for your work. Can you please make group analysis feature. It will be really usefull for teachers
@getnoff He's made the reasons pretty clear, I thought. It's his own project, he can do what he likes, and for what it's worth, the reasons make perfect sense.

Perhaps you don't really understand how browsers and modern sites work, but it's always a pain to have to support old, crappy browsers and there are none as old and crappy as Intranet Explorer. For years devs have had to support it because of the market share and so customers would just expect you to have to deal with it; being your own boss and not having to must be very refreshing! Even Microsoft have given up having to support it (hence Chredge); at my job a Microsoft employee I spoke to on the phone (yes, they pay me to use Microsoft products occasionally) actually told me - when I was trying to get my MSDN license renewed, and when I was having trouble navigating to the relevant page - to use "any non-Microsoft browser"!

I'm not involved in Lichess development in any way but I think you're wasting your time complaining about it. You need a "modern browser" - just about any browser that's still supported, really. It's an extremely low bar - just install Firefox, say, and let it auto-update. If you don't have a device which supports Firefox or one of the many alternative browsers out there then maybe buy any tablet/phone released in the last 5 years and run it on that. The time the devs will save on workarounds for shitty dead old browsers can now be spent on newer, better features. I really do like that. Very good.

Just to prove how low this bar I installed Firefox for Android on my Huawei Honor 3C from 2013 (running Android 4.4.2!). v2 is running like charm on it :)
This thread reminds me that we need an option to display more than 10 forum posts per page. Also, I'm posting to this forum using webos 3.5 on LG OLED TV...would be nice if lichess still works with this setup.
I haven't read the entire thread so this may be answered already; will there be an option to use the version 1 piece set? It's a standard piece set and is really easy to see.
