Would the community be interested in helping me with a "Top 10 List"?

#11 I believe that was Ruy Lopez's advice on the sunshine. I can recall playing in tournaments where you could smoke.
Don't move to fast in the opening, when you see anything unfamiliar, take a good look. :]
They had tournaments in 17th century, and wasnt ruy lopez a monk or so?
Thx when i heard lopez i had the slight suspicion he was italian. Thx
So far we have:

1. Turn off your phone.

This is a good one because I heard that if your phone makes a noise, you lose immediately.

2. Take off your watch.

Could you elaborate on this @Lovlas?

I wasn't clear with the intent of the thread.

I just wanted a 'top 10' in terms of "rules you didn't know that might cost you the tournament".

Just a quick guide for first-timers to keep in mind so that they don't get into trouble with the rule book.

Although I respect the dress code, you may be at the board for hours, so wear something comfortable.
@Onyx_Chess The watch refers to Adhiban's recent forfeiture because he was wearing a(n analog) watch. I would post the link I know of, but it is to the site that must not be named.
1. In between the games: Don't play chess. Try to calm down a little bit. Take a walk or listen to some music (or take a nap).
2. Don't get frustrated after a bad game or day.
