Insufficient material

Hi,

I lost on time in the above game but my opponent only has a bishop. Shouldn't this be a draw due to insufficient material?

Thanks
According to FIDE- and Lichess rules you lost, because a mate is possible by a legal sequence of moves. E.g. you can block your own king in a corner with own pieces and then be checkmated by the white bishop.
I suppose it is possible, though I've seen these given as a draw in otb comps. Ah well.
I can imagine that a position arises with a forced mate in 3 or even more.

Fun fact: in the past there was a ruleset which considered a „helpmate-minus-one“. Only in that case the win was awarded, for example this isn’t possible with minor piece versus minor piece.
Players rarely complain when they win on time, but also an increment clock could fix problems like these:
Not complaining, if they're the rules then that's that. Increments aren't for me. Flagging and being flagged is what it's all about :)
make the person have to click "ok I understand" before posting and mute them for 24 hours if it already has an answer :)
