In the 7-men TB there are forced mates > 500 moves.

So the 7 men TB refute the 50 move rule. Maybe it should/will be removed at some point. And thanks for the position and for the links!
BB-N is beyond 50 moves... this has been known for several decades.
The rule was abolished some time ago, but reimplemented because it has no practical purpose amongst humans.
Actually MC asked the arbiter playing RB vs. BN against Paco but alas, in vain. He won it < 50 moves though. ;)
Hope he get's the QN against the RBN and they allow him to play all the 500 moves.
