"its just a game"

The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.
Absolutely. I've experimented this in a real tournament. I ruined a promising position against a stronger opponent by doing a flashy sacrifice. I knew it wasn't going to work (after a 20 minute think) but I thought "Heck! It's just a game, so let's play!". A couple moves later the game was over and I felt my opponent's disappointment. I try to work on my mindset ever since. Eye of the tiger, that sort of things... Very important if you seek results, indeed.
This all discussions are so weird. Being angry, really?

Wise player enjoys lost game more than won, because some magic happened onboard which was not completely under his understanding. If you won game it's boring known things most of time. You did nothing new, wasted time.

It's monkey's limitations to be angry after lost game (in general). Monkey thinks in terms of better than other monkey. Human thinks in terms of being better than his previous result.
i'm making for of Richard Tyler Blevins this quote is from him and i'm just showing how absurd the quote is
its just a game,i cant understand the mindset of players who will make you wait till their time runs out when they obiously are losing,or people who would use insulting language,a bad thing i see in some chessplayers is that their only goal is to win the game,in this case they are not enjoying the chess but are very stressed to get that win, when they win they seem to get some satisfaction but when they lose their world breaks apart, what good is a chess game if you are not enjoying it but are stressed to get the win???if you are like that i suggest you should try to enjoy the game then get perfect results, young chessplayers, some are very talented are pressured by their teachers to get perfect results,Although this youngsters play awesome chess they end up hating playing chess, but dont have the gutts to tell their parents and teachers that they dont want to compete in chess no more and i thing thats very sad
i didnt get what you are trying to say lee_lie,did you mean i made a mistake for posting this or that you made a mistake for posting?
@MD3Kobiwan actually, hate both! And this third guy who was just walking nearby too, who knows what's he planning.
