Mine is the Knight

Lemmie sing the song of the king, beautiful piece of all pieces whose fighting power is around average. Positions are cities made of pieces forming doors being keys. The kings' moods resound in every step. Their key bits carry marks of all pieces. Oft' awkwardly move we you to this day, rain 'til grace meets mediocrity.

i must say the rook, because it's the only piece that's simple (only moving in straight lines) witch in itself makes it special.

the rook, because I like to imagine it as a castle that achieved sentience and for some reason moves faster than the piece that's shaped like a horse.

A unique thing about the horse is that when a horse puts you in check, there is no blocking. You either take the horse if you can or move the king. Also it's the most complicated piece to evaluate moves ahead and it can really screw up your game if it does something you didn't expect.

Still, Queen is most powerful piece in chess.

@ungewichtet I didn't understand all that, but the king is an interesting pick. But it's fighting power is not always average. Many times it saves the day.
